GNOME 3.0 Live image release 1.5.0 available

Hi all,
Geeko from the inside
I just push a new GNOME 3.0 live image labelled as 1.5.0 (yes, I forgot to push 1.4.0 after I built it, so we are at 1.5.0 now ;)

No big changes, it is based on GNOME 3.0.2 + some additional fixes.

As always, it can be downloaded from http://www.gnome.org/getting-gnome/

For people interested, here are some download hits (it doesn't include SUSE Studio appliance nor promo dvd which is also available from GNOME ftp) :

on GNOME 3.0 release day : 4526 hits
April :  145904 hits
May : 46551 hits
June : 24747 hits
July : 23611 hits
August (from 1 to 15) : 13063 hits

Enjoy !

  1. Any hope we can get some bittorrent links for these on the site. My internet connection is very flaky can tends to drop out in the middle of such large transfers. Torrents would resume with more grace and it is a chance for me to give back to GNOME rather than leech their bandwidth.

  2. Sorry but no bittorrent link is available.

But you can continue an broken download, it works fine.

  3. Best distro and desktop environment. Finally, GNOME 3 perfectly integrated into openSUSE. How long have I been waiting for this. Many thanks.

  4. Hi.
What code did you use to build this in Kiwi?
I'am a beginner with Kiwi so i don' t know how to do this.

    Thanks in Advance.

  5. Everything is available at https://build.opensuse.org/package/files?package=gnome3-live&project=GNOME%3AMedias

  6. Thanks, but when i try to build this using kiwi.
It says their are packages missing in the repositories.
    I have replaced all obs:// to http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/

  7. Oh, sorry, this file is indeed to be used inside OBS and not run under kiwi directly.

    try using
    instead of obs://

  8. Their are a few packages missing on the Opensuse Repositories that are used in your project :(
    Should i remove these packages?

  9. sounds strange, could you give me the list (here or by email) so we try to find what is going on ?

  10. I only have a screenshot:

  12. Fred, i know the packages that doesn't exist in the repos:

  13. hi Fred,
when will we see gnome 3.2 in the repo for bug reporting?

one more thing: at first boot after installing the dvd, hundreds of mb of c-r-a-p are downloaded automatically (I argue dependencies of additional patterns).. bad behavior

    thanks for your commitment

  14. uhm.. and you could add this repo too
